More and more customers are looking to the used car market nowadays in an attempt to find a motor at an affordable price. The recent global recession has meant that luxury items such as cars have become off-limits for a lot of people, but can still be a necessity! Here are some tips you should think about when looking into the used cars market.
Firstly, look at the mileage of the car. Because it is used, it could have a mileage of anywhere between 1,000 and 100,000 on the clock, and this is something you need to take notice of when looking at a car.
The age of the car is also important, because even though people assume an older car has more mileage, this may not be the case. Don’t just go on age or mileage alone, but look at them together and see whether the car would perform to it’s potential.
Finally, another important thing to check out is the MOT and servicing dates of the car. If it has just passed an MOT, it will be much more attractive to a potential buyer, however if it has an MOT fast approaching, this may be why the seller wants to get rid of the car!
