Legend Of Honda Type-R

The H logo on the red background with white paint newly modified engine and red Recaro seats” A short phrase to define the typeR version from Honda. TypeR stands for Type Racing which was develop to satisfy the need for speed lovers. It was started in Japan at the beginning of the year 1990.

However the project wasn’t start as a typeR project so you can’t actually call it a typeR. It started from the Civic SiR product line with the vehicle body code EF9 in the year 1991 and later EG6 and EG9 SiR in the year 1992. This version of Honda Civic is the first version came with a B16A engine sporty interior and a fully modified suspension for the additional horsepower.

Later in the year 1992 the first typeR product line was released to the market. It is the special edition Honda NSX typeR. Honda produced the NSXR in a limited amount and the car weight was reduced from 1350 kilograms to 1230 kilograms.

The typeR was well known for being a modified version for the Honda Civic EK body and the Honda Integra a sport from the same fundamental during 19980002500000 Yen or only about 670000825000 THB while the NSX reach 10 million yen or about 3 million baht an affordable price for middle class people who are addicted to speed.

The Civic typeR under body code EK9 comes with a B16B engine which was modified for additional horsepower the 1.6 liters engine with the total amount of 185 horsepower. It is a well recognized engine without the air compression system or known as NA for being one of the best engines that can produce the most horsepower per 1 liter engine. While the DC2 Integra with a B18CR engine 1.8 liters and 200 horsepower with a 5 speed manual transmission.

5 years later the code EK9 and DC2 sill recognize by the Honda Civic and Integra fans but the Honda motor company doesn’t stop so they came out with the new EP3 Civic and DC5 Integra with the newly change engine from the B family engine to the K20A 2.0 liters iVTEC which can yield approximately about 200 to 220 horsepower.

The Honda NSXR role was decrease and they came out with NSX typeS Zero instead in the year 1997. The NSXR came back again in the year 2000.

Why the typeR logo must come with the H logo on red background? It is because the first Honda formulaone car that won the grand prix in the year 1960 was painted in championship white and the H logo on red background. Their intention is to keep the sensation of the race from the track to the present Honda cars. In the present there are only the typeR version all race car and formula one cars that are currently using this logo.

Learning About Subframe Connectors

To new muscle car owners going to the drag strip for the first time quarter mile runs are usually seen from a single point of view: horsepower. A lot of dudes out there think that the more horsepower you have got the faster you can go plain and straightforward. Of course over time if they stick with the sport most drivers come to realize that there are actually a number of different factors that come into play when trying to get your car down the 1320 as fast as possible.

Power might be important but the more power you have the more control you are going to need. When you are ready to get serious about drag racing that means it is time to start researching about suspension and chassis development and how that can affect the ability of your muscle car to put power down to the ground and effectively launch down the track. All the horsepower in the world is not going to help you if you just sit there at the starting line spinning your tires.

Once you have gotten your suspension setup all planned out and chosen the right type of tires to mount to your car you might still be looking for an extra edge when it comes to keeping your horsepower under control. Have you ever noticed how some of the highhorsepower drag racers lined up at the track seem to have a staggered ride height that lifts one side of the car up higher than the other? This is to counter the twisting of the chassis that occurs when a huge amount of torque is released all at once. This chassis movement can be a serious impediment to traction as it can lift the rear wheels off of the ground and cause them to hop and skitter slowing you down and possibly causing damage to your diff.

Now you probably do not want to end up having your streetdriven hot rod looking like some Frankensteins monster with a bizarre suspension that you have to explain to everyone you meet. Fortunately there is an alternative that is more than capable of handling dailydriver levels of power and chassis flex. By implementing components called subframe connectors you can keep twisting to a minimum.

How do subframe connectors work? These small plates of steel bolt or weld onto areas of your cars frame in order to provide extra stiffness against the rotational force of your car’s torque. There are quite a few different types of subframe connectors some of them are simple to install while others require you to tear out your floor and do some heavy welding. Ultimately the type you will need will be determined by the original strength of your cars chassis and the level of horsepower that you are running.

Subframe connectors can be a great way to get even more out of your ride by harnessing the horsepower that you are already generating and putting it to better use. It can also help tighten up your car for the street giving it slightly better handling and smooth power delivery.
