Selling Your Range Rover The Hassle Free Way

I wanted to sell my Range Rover 2.9 Td6 Vogue SE Auto but I was dreading it due to all the problems Id encountered in the past. For some reason when people see a woman is selling a car they presume I wont know anything about cars. In the past when Ive sold a Range Rover potential buyers have tried to tell me my car wasnt worth the asking price and they would offer me half” I tell you what love Ill do you a favour and give you 10000 in cash and take it off your hands right now. Yeah right! I sent them away pretty smartish because I knew the value of my car. Then there was the car scam: I had advertised my car in the local paper and a day later I received a telephone call from a company saying they had registered buyers who were looking to buy a Range Rover at my asking price. All I had to do was send them 105 so they could underwrite a warranty on my car. Later on they would send me the 105 back from the commission they charged their customers. The thought of having a quick sale was very tempting. However when I told my friend she quickly informed me it was a car scam” I had a lucky escape. I did eventually sell my car but it was timeconsuming and a hassle.

The other week over a coffee I was telling my aunt that I wanted to sell my latest Range Rover and I wasnt looking forward to it. She suggested I contacted an online prestige and specialist car buyer as she had gone down that route when she was selling her Range Rover 4×4 2.5 Country Auto. She said the whole transaction had been smooth and easy; the staff were professional; and she was very happy with the valuation they had given her. It was agreed they would pick the car up from her office and once they had checked the car was in the condition as she had described it they made an electronic payment from their account to hers.

That was exactly what I needed; a hasslefreecarselling experience and I decided then and there I was going to sell my car the same way my aunt had. As soon as I got home I googled for a prestige and specialist car buyer. When Id found one there was an easy form to fill in requiring my contact details and information about my car such as: make and model mileage specifications and the condition of my car. I was a bit concerned about the condition as I did have two dents in the car” one from reversing into a gate as you do! and another one from tapping a lamppost that had jumped out in front of me. But they were okay with that information and were still really interested in buying my Range Rover. Another area I wasnt too sure about was the outstanding finance I had on my car” I thought it might put them off but again they said it was okay. All I had to do was obtain a settlement figure from the finance company; then they would settle the finance on my behalf usually by telegraphic transfer directly to the finance company.

We arranged a date and time for them to pick up my Range Rover. I didnt want my car picked up from my workplace so they came to my house and all the details and payment were finalised in the comfort of my home.

The whole process was so simple that from now on Im only going to sell my Range Rover through a prestige and specialist car buyer.

Reduce Your Drink Drive Ban By Up To 25

Always ask a lawyer if you are unsure about any of the advice and information provided here.

Your solicitor will require to ask the court at time of sentence to consider making a drink drive rehabilitation reduction. Many Sheriffs do not accede to this request without a full and detailed explanation as to why. Some think that it should only be allowed where the drink drive limit has only just been exceeded others consider that it is only appropriate where there is a drink problem. Each Sheriff has to be approached with the benefit of experience and understanding when making a suggestion that you should be placed on the scheme. It cannbsp; reduce your disqualification period by 25 but the Sheriff can exercise his discretion and allow a shorter period of reduction. Again a situation where an experienced road traffic lawyer can make a big difference to the outcome.

The course fee is pound;130 pound;95 if on benefits. Upon conviction your solicitor must intimate to the court that you agree to attend a Drink Drive Rehabilitation course and the court will consider a reduction of your period of disqualification. The solicitor has to know when it is appropriate to recommend such a reduction.

The Drink Drive Rehabilitation Scheme has been thoroughly tested and is regarded by many Sheriffs and Magistrates throughout Scotland as a proven method to reduce the reoffend rate.nbsp; It is an ideal disposal for the offence of Drink Driving to be used in conjunction with a disqualification period plus a fine community service probation order or custodial sentence as the severity of the offence dictates.

Once the verdict and penalty have been announced the Court must decide whether the offender is suitable for the Scheme.nbsp; Most Courts conscious of current ‘Human Rights’ legislation refer all drink drive offenders for training.

Making a Referral Order involves the following:

  • assessing suitability
  • offering the course to the offender
  • the offender accepts or declines
  • the Hearing ends
  • if the offender accepts the completed Referral Order is forwarded to the training provider

The guidelines to the Scheme list several factors which affect suitability:

  • a place is available on an approved course. We can recommend VMCLVMCL are approved training providers and guarantee to train all offenders referred to them under the Scheme making it unnecessary for the Court to check availability
  • the offender is at least 17 years old
  • the offer has been explained to the offender in ordinary language

Once an offer has been made to the offender the Court should state:

  • the amount of reduction in the disqualification period the offender will receive for completing the course
  • the date on which the reduced ban ends
  • the date by which the course must be completed

The offender must agree to the offer of attending the course before an Order is made.nbsp; Inclusion in the Scheme is voluntary; there is no penalty for choosing not to be included.

After the Hearing the Court’s administration section creates the Referral Order.nbsp; The Order is signed by an Officer of the Court and a copy forwarded to the training provider.

You attend as required and upon successful completion of the course you will be entitled to a reduction in your period of disqualification.

For More Information on How the scheme works and where the courses are held checkout the Vernon Mansfield website.
